IMOCA 60 Press release
BARCELONA TO HOST THE NEXT IMOCA AGM
The next IMOCA AGM will take place in Barcelona on Friday 17th April from 1030 to 1700.
It will be preceded by several working meetings the day before, with the aim of examining the following topics : technical changes ; Class Rules and safety ; the IMOCA championship and its race programme ; the organisation and running of the Class ; communication and commercial partners.
The ‘Fundació Navigació Oceànica Barcelona’ (F.N.O.B.), organiser of The Barcelona World Race, offered to host the Assembly to strengthen its links further with the IMOCA Class.
F.N.O.B. has taken care of all event logistics, provided all the venues, provided all services required for the meetings and the accommodation for the skippers, the Class representatives and its guests (both institutional and media).
In keeping with the region’s renowned hospitality, F.N.O.B. is also organising the closing evening ceremony that will crown Armel le Cleac’h the 2008 IMOCA World Champion.
