The board is elected by the General Meeting and is in charge of the IMOCA class. Luc Talbourdet is chairman of the board.

Events Committee
The main task of the Events Committee is to draw up the official race calendar for the IMOCA class. It discusses with all the organisers its list of requirements and ensures a coherent World Championship is put in place, both in terms of the format of races and the dates and venues. The committee works in close collaboration with the managing director, in particular when promoting the class.

Technical Committee
The main task of the Technical Committee is to draw up class rules and examine how they can evolve. In order to be applicable, all of the proposals from the Technical Committee must be approved by the Board, and in some cases the approval of the General Meeting is required.
