About

Jean-Pierre Dick’s new 60-foot monohull was launched in May2010 in Auckland. She is one of the three IMOCA boats from the new generation and was only launched in 2010. The VPLP Verdier design is a radical departure in comparison to the previous two Virbac Paprecs sailed by the skipper from Nice and is 10 to 15% lighter than Paprec-Virbac 2.

History

On board his brand new boat, Jean-Pierre Dick has already sailed halfway around the world between New Zealand and France. This voyage allowed him to get to know his new machine, before the first battle with his rivals in the Route du Rhum and the Barcelona World Race. The schedule certainly is a busy one for the boat and she is also due to line up at the start of the next Vendée Globe.
