Race NameTransat B to B 2011 5 December 2011
The Transat B to B is a single-handed race reserved for IMOCA Open 60' and qualifying for the Vendée Globe. The first edition organised in 2007 between Bahia and Port La Forêt was won by Loïck Peyron onboard Gitana Eighty. The second edition shall start in Saint Barts and finish in Lorient.
Top level line-up, unusual course (transatlantic race from West to East), prestigious site... Less than a year prior to the Vendée Globe start, it's the last dry run of the solo sailors before the big round the world race. Time for tests, validation of the developments made on the boats, and even try out their brand new boat in solo configuration for some of them.
