Initiatives-Coeur is Arnaud de Boissières's former Akena, designed by Bruce Farr’s firm, and is the sister-ship of Foncia, winner of the latest Vendée Globe. The powerful and competitive yacht was bought in 2009 and repaired after suffering damages in 2008. She finished 7th in the 2009 Transat Jacques Vabre and in the 2010 Route du Rhum.
