Presentation

Designed by Owen Clarke's team, the Ariel2 is built in the Hakes Marine shipyards in New Zealand. Launched in December 2007, it was known as British sailor Dee Caffari’s boat and they covered the Vendee Globe 2008/09 as Aviva and Barcelona World Race 2010 as Gaes Centros Auditivos together.

Ariel2 is a powerful yacht and the twin of Arnaud Boissieres’ La Mie Câline - Artipôle. In 2018 the boat underwent a comprehensive refit in Gosport after having stayed six years out of water. Now skippered by Ari Huusela, the first Nordic skipper ever in the Imoca Class makes Helsinki, Finland Ariel2’s home port.
