Designed by the VPLP firm and Guillaume Verdier, IMAGINE is one of the precursors of this new generation of light, planing boats able to be manoeuvred singlehanded.

With steering wheels, fixed rudders and a comfortable cockpit, the aim was a boat that’s light and responsive at the helm, versatile to the conditions and as ‘liveable’ as possible. She’s quite a legendary old monohull as she belonged to Kito de Pavant (Groupe Bel), before passing across to Armel Tripon (Imagine, 4th in the Route du Rhum 2014) then Thomas Ruyant (Le Souffle du Nord, retired in the last Vendée Globe). Sistership to the first Safran built for Marc Guillemot, then successively optimised by Tripon and Ruyant, this IMOCA joined the V&B team and her skipper Maxime Sorel in 2019 with the Vendée Globe 2020 as the main
