Right now the sailors are beginning to study the initial hours of racing. This involves running their routing software, with some doubt relating to the weather on Sunday 3 November which, according to the grib files, isn’t very appealing: 35 to 40 knots in the English Channel, which is likely to generate very heavy seas, making for a very tricky start.
