IMOCA Race Report #5 I Day 31 on the Vendée Globe
After a month of racing, the fleet now spans two oceans. Charlie Dalin remains in the lead and is about to enter the Indian Ocean, while Szabi Woeres is just a few miles from the Cape of Good Hope.
In the middle of the fleet, a group of competitors is facing their first major depression. Two strategies are emerging: one group is choosing to navigate north of the system, while the other is heading south.
Anne-Claire Le Berre, sailor aboard the Ocean Fifty UpWind by MerConcept and former technical director of the IMOCA Initiatives-Cœur, analyzes the conditions and tactical decisions unfolding at sea.

Sailing to the Arctic Circle – the magic of the Vendée Arctique
The Vendée Arctique-Les Sables d’Olonne – currently mid-way through its third edition – is a yacht race like no other, that takes IMOCA skippers into waters no other sailing event touches.
•••Thank you Charlie
The IMOCA Class is very sad to learn of the passing today of Charlie Dalin, one of the greatest solo sailors of the modern era.
