Jérémie Beyou opens a new chapter and looks for future partners

After ten years of an iconic partnership, Jérémie Beyou is looking to the future. Backed by extensive experience and a high-performance, fully operational technical structure based in Lorient, the skipper is ready to build a new ambitious project, firmly focused on performance and the pursuit of new challenges around the world.
A chapter is closing for Jérémie Beyou. After ten years alongside Charal — two generations of boats, two Vendée Globe campaigns and eighteen podium finishes, including six victories — the Lorient-based skipper is now looking for a partner to continue his career at the highest level of solo offshore racing.
His desire to race and compete against the very best remains as strong as ever. After finishing 4th in the 2024–2025 Vendée Globe, he went on to win the 2025 Transat Café L’OR and is now actively preparing for his next major challenge: the 2026 Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe.
Jérémie Beyou has a wealth of experience rarely matched in offshore racing. A three-time winner of the Solitaire du Figaro and winner of the 2018 Volvo Ocean Race, he has established himself as one of the pioneers of foiling IMOCA yachts. An outstanding competitor and meticulous technical developer, he combines a high-speed racing mindset with strong technical expertise — two major assets for taking on the challenge of the Ultim class.

A project to build
Open to the different disciplines of solo offshore racing, with a particular interest in the ULTIM Class, Jérémie Beyou is not simply looking for a boat, but for a coherent sporting and human project, built together with one or more partners around shared values: performance, commitment, innovation, sharing and knowledge transfer.
“The end of my story with Charal brings a fantastic adventure to a close, but above all, it opens the door to a new chapter. I still have a huge amount of motivation, and I feel fully capable of continuing to compete at the highest level. My career has given me the opportunity to experience different boats, different races and different ways of building a project. Today, I am open to new opportunities and I want to write a new story with new partners, while retaining that same desire to win. My objective is to join the ULTIM Class. It is a fantastic opportunity to become part of this demanding class, with boats that currently represent the very best of offshore racing.”— Jérémie Beyou
Beyou Racing: expertise at the service of future projects
To embark on this new phase, the skipper is relying on his Beyou Racing team, based at Lorient La Base. With a team of 23 people, including an in-house design office staffed by seven engineers, the organisation has developed cutting-edge expertise in the preparation, optimisation and technical development of offshore racing yachts.
This transition is also taking place as a continuation of the current project, with the renewed support of the team’s seven co-partners — a testament to the strength and sustainability of the model.
“With Beyou Racing, we have built genuine expertise around performance and boat preparation. That is a real strength when it comes to imagining and preparing what comes next. Today, we have the desire, experience and skills to build a project with a partner looking to commit to an ambitious adventure.”— Jérémie Beyou

•••Thomas Ruyant: “I will not be at the start of the next Route du Rhum”
My disappointment is immense. This race holds a special place in my history. I have competed in it and won it twice. As the defending champion, I was obviously very keen to come back and defend that victory.
