PODCAST TRANSITIONS #9 I Should we question inclusion in offshore racing?

This 9th episode of Transitions, recorded exceptionally in English in Le Havre, welcomes Francesca Clapcich and Will Harris, skipper and co-skipper of the IMOCA 11th Hour Racing, competing in the Transat Café L’OR.
On the agenda: inclusion in offshore racing, a theme at the heart of the “Believe, Belong, Achieve” project led by the Italo-American skipper. The duo discusses how sport can foster a sense of belonging, diversity, and access for all to competitive sailing, as well as the efforts still needed to make offshore racing more open to all cultures and backgrounds.
Finally, they argue that a more diverse team is also a more high-performing one, and that sailing has an exemplary role to play in promoting inclusion, just as it has done in advancing sustainability.
Transitions is hosted by Imogen Dinham-Price and Pierre-Yves Lautrou.
