Start postponed until Monday

The start for the Imoca 60s has been postponed until Monday 4 November at 1415 hours local time.
The low that will sweep across southern Britain over the course of Sunday and into Monday might generate winds of 35 knots, gusting to 50 knots level with the Cotentin peninsula. As a result, Race Management has opted to delay the start by 24 hours. After the initial hours of navigation in moderate northerly winds, the Imoca 60s are likely to have to face up to steady westerly winds once again during the day on Tuesday as they round the north-west tip of Brittany and head into the Bay of Biscay.
