Barcelona World Race

The Barcelona World Race is the first and only sailing race around the world double handed (two skippers per boat). It leaves and arrives in Barcelona. The first was in 2007-2008, the second in 2010-2011, and the third in 2014-2015.

For its fourth edition it changes its format with the objective of opening more to the world and to more skippers.
The race will stop in Australia (Sydney to be confirmed), after leaving the Cape of Good Hope and Leeuwin to port, before leaving again with a new fleet departure towards Barcelona leaving the Antarctic to starboard and Cape Horn to port.
This edition offers the possibility to change the co-skipper during the stop, only the skipper must realize the whole of the round the world.

The race is registered in the IMOCA calendar OCEAN MASTERS with a coefficient 8 and is organized by the Fundació Navegació Oceànica Barcelona [FNOB].

The start date will be on the January 12, 2019 (date to be confirmed).
