Transat B to B
The first edition of the Transat B to B, a single-handed race reserved for monohulls racing in the Vendée Globe, was held at the end of the Transat Jacques Vabre 2007. Indeed a number of the competitors in the IMOCA class were calling for a race to serve as a qualifier for the solo round the world, without assistance and without stopovers, enabling them to carry out the regulatory number of miles at sea before setting off on the three capes route.

Eastbound solo transatlantic Back to Brittany
Based on the same principle, namely providing sailors with the opportunity to earn their entry ticket for the Vendée Globe 2012, the “B to B” returns in 2011 with the eastbound “Back to Brittany” transatlantic spanning some 3,300 miles between Saint Barts and Lorient.
