A native of Moëlan-sur-Mer, Damien is a renowned sailor, ocean racer and préparateur. Having competed in the Figaro Beneteau class (seven times in the Solitaire between 2010 and 2017) before specializing in the role of préparateur, for Yann Eliès and Jean Le Cam in particular, Damien Guillou, 39, was one of two Frenchmen at the start of the second edition of the Golden Globe Race in 2022.
For the 2023 season, he joins Violette Dorange on Jean Le Cam's ex-IMOCA with a double hat. In fact, Damien will be both co-skipper of the young sailor for the Transat Jacques Vabre, and boat captain of the IMOCA DeVenir.
