Both the vocabulary and the project management are in keeping with those of an ingenious entrepreneur. Also in common with the best single-handed yachtsmen, there is team spirit, humility and respect for the sea. A finely honed feel for sailing competitively. There is a clearly defined passion for fine yachts and an unshakeable enthusiasm… That just about sums up the essential Jean-Pierre Dick, the « gentleman-skipper » as described by Loïck Peyron.

Born and bred in Nice, Jean-Pierre is a qualified veterinary surgeon and business school graduate. For the past four years, he has devoted all of his time to ocean racing, to become rapidly extremely competent and much feared.

At the age of 41, he is meticulous, hard-working and a perfectionist – salt water courses through his veins, and has not been long in becoming one of the leading figures of the 60 foot Open class, always ready to take on the most audacious challenges, swearing to surpass himself each time.
