  At the age of 33, Yann Eliès follows his career and his projects with determination and rigour. This Breton sailor has began his career in sailing races on a Figaro Bénéteau, displaying his talent and tenacity during a ten year period. He was French champion in sailing in 2004 and 2006 and he has fought with courage against the elements, his opponents and himself. Always wanting to do better, he gives the best of himself and pushes his boat to the maximum to win without concessions.


Two rounds the world sailing records with Bruno Peyron's crew have revealed his quality of team leadership and have made him a respected sailor by the best. He is appreciated for his sportive abilities and his human qualities.


This Generali skipper holds all the winning cards necessary to take prime position in the new Vendee Globe. His inspiration comes from his two children Marie and Titouan and his wife Soizic. They give him energy and a weel balances life which is necessary for his sporting career.

- 3rd of The Artemis Transat 2008
- 9th of the Transat Jacques Vabre 2007, 5th of the Calais Round Britain Race 2007 and 8th of the Rolex Fastnet Race 2007 on monohull 60' IMOCA
- Double France Champion of single-handed race (Figaro Bénéteau Class) in 2004 and 2006
- Double winner, with Bruno Peyron, of the Trophée Jules Verne, in 2002 and 2005(current record 50 days, 16 hours, 20 minutes and 4 seconds)
- 10 participations to the Solitaire du Figaro : 4 legs won, 2nd in 2004, 5th in 2005 and 2006.
- Double winner of the Generali Solo, in 2001 and 2004
- Double winner of the National Figaro Bénéteau in team in 1998 and 2001
- Winner of the Mumm 30 France Championship in team in 2003
- Participation to The Race onbord Team Adventure in 2001
