THE BARCELONA WORLD RACE AT THE “NAUTIC” 2nd Dec 2010
The Barcelona World Race will be out in strength at the Paris Boat Show from 3rd to 12th December. For this event, the Nautic Café (Hall 1, stand K 112) will be decked out in the colours of the non-stop double-handed round the world race, the second edition of which is due to begin on 31st December from the Catalan port. Various events will be organised including meetings with the sailors and presentations of the race. Please note that a press conference will be taking place on Tuesday 7th December on the stage area at the Nautic (Hall 1 / H101), in the presence of all the French skippers taking part in the event.
Within the framework of the 2010 Paris Boat Show, the Barcelona World Race will be based at the Nautic Café. From Friday 3rd December, during the day reserved for the trade, there will be a Happy Hour at 7 p.m. with the sailors taking part in the next important event on the IMOCA calendar. On the following day from 2 to 3, Kito de Pavant and Sébastien Audigane, the co-skippers aboard Groupe Bel, will be present signing autographs.
The schedule looks packed on Tuesday 7th December for a special day dedicated to the Barcelona World Race skippers. From 1 in the afternoon, at the Nautic Café, the media arrangements for the start and for following the race will be presented to journalists. Then, the official race press conference will take place from 2 on the Nautic stage (Hall 1 / H101). The ten French skippers taking part will be attending and the meeting will be open to the public.
Visitors to the Show will also be able to relive the highlights of the first edition of the Barcelona World Race on the screens at the Nautic stage area. The film will be projected on Sunday 5th December (from 2 to 3), on Wednesday 8th (from 5 to 6), on Thursday 9th (from 2 to 3), on Friday 10th (from 2 to 3) and on Sunday 12th (from 2 to 3).
