IMOCA Circuit

The formation  of the IMOCA circuit is based on two round the world races, the single  handed Vendée Globe and the double handed Barcelona World Race, these taking  place every alternating two years. Punctuating the round the world events, as  ever, will be the classic single handed transatlantic races, The  Artemis Transat and the Route du Rhum and one other double handed race,  the Transat Jacques Vabre.

Interspersed among the scoring Championship events, the  IMOCA class will be staging (non point scoring) exhibition races, where  sponsor representatives will have the unique opportunity to compete on their  yachts in a race environment.

Programme for the three upcoming years:

2010

Grand Prix de Douarnenez (Exhibition race) ; Trophée SNSM (Exhibition race; Tour of Spain (Exhibition race); The Route Du  Rhum – La Banque  Postale ; The  Barcelona World Race

2011

European Pro Tour ; The Transat Jacques Vabre

2012

The Artemis  Transat; The  Vendée Globe
