Holding a Bachelor's degree in Marine Science and Technology, Arisa has been sailing for over 10 years. In 2017, she won the Student Yachting World Cup as a tactician, becoming the first Asian female sailor to claim the title.
She later competed in the 2021 Rolex Fastnet Race aboard a Class40 and went on to race in several offshore events in Japan. Between 2023 and 2025, she combined her role as a sail designer at North Sails in Sydney with an active offshore racing career, sailing aboard the Maxi Comanche as a navigator before joining the TP52 circuit. Arisa was also one of the crew members aboard DMG MORI GLOBAL ONE during the 2025 Japan Tour with Kojiro Shiraishi, following his completion of the 2024–2025 Vendée Globe.
