Davy discovered sailing relatively late in life. It was at the age of 13 that he first became interested in boats and the world of sailing. At 16, he took part in his first races aboard a Mini 6.50, where he discovered a true passion for offshore racing. This experience marked the beginning of a competitive career that would quickly take shape.
For several years, Davy competed in the Mini 6.50 class, sailing both production boats and prototypes. A demanding class that allowed him to develop his competitive edge, versatility and technical skills. His career has been marked by numerous strong performances, including as many as 15 victories, helping to establish his reputation as both a sailor and a competitor.
Alongside his sporting career, Davy ventured into entrepreneurship at an early age. At just 18, he founded his own boatyard, Nautymor, in Hennebont. There, he developed recognised expertise in the preparation and optimisation of racing boats. This combination of skills, as both sailor and technician, quickly became one of his greatest strengths.
His technical knowledge and experience in boat preparation led him to work with several top-level skippers, particularly in the IMOCA and Ultim classes. Regularly called upon as a crew member or co-skipper, Davy puts his sailing experience and technical expertise at the service of performance.
In 2023, he took another step forward in his career by spending a season alongside Louis Burton. This experience allowed him to continue progressing alongside the very best in offshore racing and to further strengthen his experience on the IMOCA circuit.
In 2026, Davy was selected by sponsor Bureau Vallée to join its racing project and compete in the IMOCA class for the season. He then took the helm of Louis Burton’s former IMOCA, with whom he had already worked in 2023.
