A seasoned and enthusiastic sailor in both singlehanded and double-handed format, the Breton skipper excels through his tenacity and his ability to keep pushing the envelope

Three months after securing third place in the Vendée Globe 2016-2017, Jérémie Beyou setting off on his fourth consecutive campaign in the singlehanded round the world race, alongside a new partner, Charal. In April 2017, the Charal company announced its partnership with Jérémie Beyou and his team through until 2022. Their shared aim is to build a winning project with a view to the Vendée Globe 2020, involving the construction of a new boat which they launched in August 2018.

“The Vendée Globe is an extraordinary race. I’ve been lucky enough to complete it in third place. It’s not just down to luck though, there’s also a lot of work involved for the whole team and I’m convinced that with these same people and with Charal, who have been supporting me with my approach, I’m capable of bettering third. Charal is the perfect partner for enabling me to win the Vendée Globe,” comments the skipper from Finistère in NW France.
