CHARAL
Originally from the Bay of Morlaix, Jérémie Beyou discovered sailing alongside his father and went on to build one of the finest track records in offshore racing. After eight appearances in the Solitaire du Figaro, he won the race in 2005 before turning to the Vendée Globe.
After two retirements in 2008 and 2012, he took 3rd place in 2016, then finished 13th in 2020 despite having to return to Les Sables-d’Olonne to repair his IMOCA.
With his partner Charal, he launched a new IMOCA, Charal 2, designed by Sam Manuard, with which he finished 3rd in the 2022 Route du Rhum. In 2023, teamed with Franck Cammas, he placed 4th in the Transat Jacques Vabre, then 2nd in the solo Retour à la Base.
Despite damage that forced him to retire from The Transat CIC in 2024, he bounced back with 3rd place in the New York-Vendée, before finishing 4th in the Vendée Globe.
In 2025, he continued the season double-handed with Morgan Lagravière aboard Charal.
