A first in IMOCA history: The creation of three IMOCA boats designed in coordination by three teams!

Driven by the TR Racing team, Thomas Ruyant, Boris Herrmann (Malizia), and Loïs Berrehar (Banque Populaire) are joining forces to envision, design, and build three IMOCA boats together!

📍 Thanks to Alexandre Fayeulle, owner of the boat, construction of the next TR Racing IMOCA has started in Lorient, at CDK Technologies.

🧠 The design is led by Antoine Koch, supported by Finot-Conq and GSea Design.

⛵️ Seasoned observers will spot subtle differences — in the cockpit layout or helm station ergonomics — reflecting each skipper's unique input based on their sailing programs.

🌱 A responsible approach is at the heart of the project: shared tooling, reduced carbon footprint, and optimized resources.

“It’s rare in naval architecture to see a coordinated approach between three entities. Pooling efforts means collective progress — and a reduced carbon footprint for a type of project that traditionally relied on isolated designs.”
Antoine Koch, Naval Architect

A BOAT BUILT TO PERFORM… AND TO WIN.

Inspired by the current VULNERABLE, this new IMOCA aims for excellence in all conditions:
→ Higher speed in light winds
→ Gains during transitions and improved wave performance
→ Enhanced versatility to shine both in crewed and solo races

“This boat is a continuation of everything we’ve learned since 2019. We’re taking the fundamentals and pushing them further. It’s a technical, human, and committed project — and I’m ready to make it shine.”
Thomas Ruyant
