From Gosport to Georgian Bay: The Scott’s 2026 Journey

2026 is a year in which we go deep on preparing Scott for life as a solo racing sailor. It will be shaped by preparation, training and competing.
Winter Refit - Gosport, UK
It starts in the quieter winter months. Emira IV is currently back in the shed in Gosport, UK, going through a full refit, while Scott continues his winter training — building strength, adaptability and focus away from the water. When we return to sailing, it will be with a boat and a team shaped by everything we’ve learned so far.
Late Spring - from Europe to Canada for the first time
By late spring, that learning turns outward. Emira IV will cross the Atlantic to Canada, to help Scott train and to connect with Canadian communities, partners and fans along the way. We’re planning time on the journey to open the boat up, share the story, and spend time in places like Toronto before heading through the Great Lakes to Collingwood.
Summer Training - Collingwood, Canada
Summer in Canada is about growth. Scott’s training continues in his hometown, with the generous support of the Town of Collingwood and Collingwood Yacht Club. Expect to see plenty of foiling IMOCA action on the stunning Georgian Bay.
Youth Pathway Programme
We’ll open up Emira IV to support our Youth Pathway Programme, creating opportunities for young Canadian sailors to experience the size and power of modern offshore foiling yachts. The details are still evolving and we will share more later this year, but we are excited to lift others as we push ourselves.
Autumn Competition - Back to Europe
As autumn sets in, competition appears on the horizon. Emira IV will make the long journey back across the Atlantic to France, where every mile sailed feeds into a single focus — preparing for the start line of the Route du Rhum in November. This will be Scott’s first solo transatlantic race on a foiling IMOCA. Stay tuned for an exciting year ahead!
If you’d like to be part of Scott's journey - on the water or behind the scenes - we’d love to connect.
