Arnaud Boissières’ La Mie Câline is dismasted

Arnaud Boissières’ the skipper of La Mie Câline, informed his technical team that he had dismasted this Thursday.
Currently 27th in the race he is more than 2,500 miles from the finish, at the longitude of Cape Verde in a group of five skippers. Arnaud is fine and said he had secured his boat, which he is continuing to inspect.
The Les Sables d’Olonne based Boissières is the only skipper to have finished four Vendée Globe races in a row, having taken part in every edition since 2008. Nicknamed ‘Cali’, born in Bordeaux, Arnaud Boissières was in the group expected to finish around the 8th to 9th February.
