Broken boom on MACSF, Isabelle Joschke is okay

This Saturday 11 July at 09:00 French time, Isabelle Joschke alerted her team to the breakage of the boom on the IMOCA MACSF.
Race Management for the Vendée Arctique Les Sables d’Olonne was informed about the situation by Alain Gautier, Team Manager. MACSF was in 7th position in the fleet in 23 knots of south-easterly wind. Isabelle Joschke is fine and the boat has suffered no peripheral damage at the present time. No decision has been taken as yet with regards how to proceed. The IMOCA MACSF is continuing to make headway towards the Gallimard waypoint.
