It's a beautiful story that Benjamin started to write in 2017, whilst sailing under the colours of the association "Water Family - Du Flocon à la Vague".Since then, the young skipper from Vendée has always been keen to add meaning to his sporting projects. In 2018, he took the association on board for the Tour Voile. Together, they placed the sportsman at the service of the environment by raising water protection awareness to more than 3000 children on the French coast, without forgetting the other teams and even the organisers! At the Transat Jacques Vabre village in Le Havre, more than 1000 children have been made aware of water protection. With the 2020 Vendée Globe in sight, Benjamin Dutreux, the Water Family and their partners want to have a lasting impact on the world of ocean racing and raise awareness among more and more children about protecting the water, their health and the planet. The heart of the message is virtual or indirect water; the water that we unknowingly consume and pollute every day through our food, objects and actions. Our belief? To act at the source! At the source because water is the raw material of all our consumer goods. And at the source because the priority action is aimed at the younger generations, education being the key to sustainable change.
