Technical stopover in Le Havre for Paprec Arkéa

This Sunday at 4:08 p.m., while sailing in 7th position in the TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR, Yoann Richomme and Corentin Horeau collided with a buoy off the coast of Le Havre. The IMOCA Paprec Arkéa was travelling at over 16 knots when the collision damaged the rigging and starboard outrigger of their boat.
The crew is fine and is doing everything possible to secure the mast before turning back for a technical stopover in Le Havre, where their technical team is waiting to assess the extent of the damage and carry out repairs as quickly as possible. The TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR race instructions allow stopovers for a minimum of 4 hours.
