Collision between HOLCIM-PRB and ALLAGRANDE MAPEI RACING at the start of The Ocean Race Europe

Holcim-PRB and Allagrande MAPEI Racing are heading back to Kiel after a collision occurred just moments after the start of the first leg of The Ocean Race Europe. All crew members are safe. No injuries have been reported.
On the TV commentary of the start, Carolijn Brouwer, from Team Holcim PRB, agrees that this is a huge disappointment.
'The priority is to get the boat back to shore,' she says. 'The shore crew will probably have a few long days ahead.'
From on board Allagrande MAPEI Racing, skipper Ambrosio Beccaria says: 'It's so disappointing, my heard is sad. We've been working so hard to get ready for this."
