Profile

A passionate sailor with a profile that is as versatile as it is cutting-edge, Jessica Berthoud is 23 years old and has built a unique career path combining competition sailing and technical expertise. Trained on flying multihulls - GC32, Flying Phantom, Nacra 17, 69F - she has also been a master sailmaker for 4 years, a combination of skills that is particularly appreciated in the world of sailing competition.

European champion in the 69F class, and with a solid sailing background, Jessica is now preparing to take on a major new challenge: taking her first steps in ocean racing with the Suisse Offshore Team.

"I grew up with The Ocean Race at home: my father and mother took part. Joining this project means discovering the open sea while continuing a family tradition."

The youngest member of the team will embark on the second leg of The Ocean Race Europe, between Portsmouth and Cartagena, from 17 August, as well as the fifth and final leg, between Genoa and Boka Bay.
