A 29-year-old French skipper, Pierre-Louis Attwell has been building a solid path in offshore racing for several years. He now enters the IMOCA Class with his RESILIENT project, continuing his commitment.
From a very young age, he discovered sailing alongside his father on the family boat. This passion, which stayed with him for nearly fifteen years, eventually became his profession.
He first worked as a sailing instructor and sports educator at a sailing school in Honfleur (Calvados), before gradually turning toward competition. In 2017, he launched the project “Vogue avec un Crohn.” In 2018, he took part in his first Solitaire du Figaro, marking the beginning of his offshore racing career.
Holding a University Diploma in Health Democracy, Pierre-Louis is actively involved in representing patients with various healthcare stakeholders, including public institutions, industry partners, healthcare professionals, and patient organizations.
Since January 2026, Pierre-Louis has been the official ambassador of AFA Crohn RCH France.
