No time for error when the podium awaits
Charal completes the podium after 19 days of strategic sailing across the Atlantic. The duo managed a consistent speed of 12.21 knots over the 5800-mile route.
•••Christopher PRATT, 36 years old, has never dreamed of doing anything else but sailing. Sailing, and at the highest level. That has always been his ambition.
After a course in sport studies and a title of World Vice-Champion in dinghy sailing at only 18 years old, he tried his hand at the biggest races in his field (Solitaire du Figaro, Transat Jacques Vabre, Transat AG2R, Tour de France à la voile, Route du Rhum, etc.).
He was the "young up-and-comer", winner of the Challenge espoir Crédit Agricole in 2005 and the Filières du Talent DCNS in 2008. He also performed well in the Route du Rhum 2010, even though he was the youngest in the IMOCA Class.
He then went on to work with renowned skippers such as Armel Le Cleac'h and Jérémie Beyou, winning two successive podiums in the Transat Jacques Vabre in 2011 and 2013.
2021: Transat Jacques Vabre - 3rd (Charal)
2021: Rolex Fastnet Race - 2nd (Charal)
2019: Transat Jacques Vabre - 3rd (Charal)
2018: Transat AG2R La Mondiale - 4th
2013: Transat Jacques Vabre - 3rd (IMOCA Maître CoQ)
