Pierre-Louis Attwell unveils the colors of his IMOCA and sets his sights on the Drheam Cup / Grand Prix de France de Course au Large.

Following the launch of his IMOCA RESILIENT last spring, Pierre-Louis Attwell is now taking another major step forward in his campaign toward the 2028 Vendée Globe with the official unveiling of the boat’s new visual identity.

This unveiling marks the project’s entry into a new phase: that of its first competitive races, with the Drheam Cup / Grand Prix de France de Course au Large, in his sights, set to start on July 12 in Cherbourg. This is a symbolic milestone, as it will be the first race of the season for Team RESILIENT and Pierre-Louis Attwell’s very first appearance in IMOCA.

A VISUAL IDENTITY THAT CONVEYS A MESSAGE

When it was launched, RESILIENT sported a deliberately minimalist white livery, symbolizing a new chapter yet to be written and a project still in the making. Today, the boat reveals its new colors and fully asserts its identity. Its design features the iconic colors of the RESILIENT project: turquoise blue and aqua green, symbols of hope and inclusion, enhanced by touches of pink that evoke the values of care, support, and solidarity championed by the team. Together, these elements create a strong visual identity that is modern, dynamic, and deeply human.

This design incorporates the project’s symbol: a heart whose various facets are spread across the hull and sails. Fragmented and then reassembled to scale with the boat, it illustrates the journey of those who turn adversity into strength and move forward despite their vulnerabilities. It serves as a reminder that performance also stems from resilience. “These colors tell the story of who we are and what we want to convey: the idea that it’s possible to move forward, to excel, and to create wonderful adventures, even when the path isn’t always easy,”summarizes Pierre-Louis Attwell.

RENEWED TRUST: LOYAL PARTNERS CONTINUE THE JOURNEY

Team RESILIENT is also pleased to announce the continuation of its collaboration with numerous partners, notably AbbVie and Mayoly, two major players in the healthcare sector that have stood alongside Pierre-Louis for several years. Their continued support is a testament to the strength of the project and the relevance of its message to patients, healthcare professionals, and the general public.

By supporting this new IMOCA campaign, the partners reaffirm their commitment to an initiative that highlights the daily challenges faced by millions of people living with chronic illnesses, while demonstrating that high performance and vulnerability can coexist.

HEADING TOWARD THE DRHEAM CUP: FIRST REAL-WORLD TEST

The next event is now set to take place in Cherbourg for the Drheam Cup / Grand Prix de France de Course au Large. Before the race begins, a prologue will be held on July 11 in Cherbourg, giving the public a first look at the boat in its new colors.

On July 12, Pierre-Louis will set sail for his first IMOCA competition, heading toward Lorient. This event will mark an important milestone in getting to grips with the boat and in building momentum for the RESILIENT project. After several months spent getting to know the boat, carrying out technical work, and conducting training voyages, this will be the first real test under race conditions.

“This Drheam Cup is a very important milestone for us. It’s our first race with this boat and my first IMOCA competition. The main goal will be to continue learning, validate the work accomplished since the launch, and build the project on a solid foundation.” The Drheam Cup kicks off a series of races that will confirm Team RESILIENT’s qualification for the upcoming Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe, which will start on November 1
from Saint-Malo.
