Abby Ehler, from the United Kingdom, already has a great deal of experience in this race, having previously competed in three editions. From her first participation in 2001 with Amer Sports Too, Abby went on to win many offshore races, and sailed in another two editions of The Ocean Race in 2015 and 2018, both as a sailor and boat captain for Team SCA and Team Brunel.
Abby has also worked onshore in renowned international races such as the America's Cup and SailGP, and remains a strong advocate for diversity in ocean racing.
In the 2023 edition, the British sailor is a key part of the Holcim-PRB team with her technical skills and knowledge of the course.
In 2025, Abby boards the IMOCA Allagrande Mapei to take part in The Ocean Race Europe.
