Here’s a monohull that has been around the block, yet upon her launch in 2006, she is one of the most honed of the Farr designs signed up for the Vendée Globe.

Jérémie Béyou fails to complete the Route du Rhum on her and she later dismasts with Sidney Gavignet during the Barcelona World Race offshore of Kerguelen… Next up, in the solo round the world race 2008, spreader damage puts paid to her campaign in Recife. The ex-Delta Dore then trades liveries with Bureau Vallée for a blistering performance in the Transat Jacques Vabre by the Burton brothers, though Louis is later forced to retire from the Vendée Globe after colliding with a trawler offshore of Spain. 5th in the Transat Jacques Vabre with Guillaume Le Brec, Louis Burton prepares for the Route du Rhum 2014 (5th), then the Transat Jacques Vabre with Romain Attanasio (9th), prior to the Vendée Globe (7th). The boat is then purchased by Erik Nigon, who finishes 10th in the Route du Rhum 2018, then 27th in the Transat Jacques Vabre 2019 with Ekrem Pamir. However, the skipper is unable to secure sufficient financial backing for the next Vendée Globe so he lends his IMOCA to Clément Giraud for The Transat CIC. However, all these plans are scuppered by the Coronavirus pandemic…
