Born in Le Guilvinec, he was introduced to regattas at an early age. He naturally joined the Finistère team in the 420 dinghy class and raced in sport catamarans and habitable boats... After studying business in Quimper, he decided to move into the world of ocean racing. François has been a recognised sailor in the world of ocean racing for more than 15 years, and has mastered all the different types of boats, both technically in terms of boat design and at sea in all aspects of sailing: Mini 6.50s, 50-foot multihulls, 60-foot ORMAs, 60-foot IMOCAs, MAXIs, etc.
