Guillaume Rol is a true all-rounder: from the Olympic NACRA 17 to the Sydney Hobart, via the TF35 and Cape31 circuits, and the Figaro 3 on the Tour Voile.
Guillaume has alternated between the roles of tactician, strategist, or skipper depending on the boat, while gaining new experience on offshore and crewed projects. After several years of high-level performance on all types of boats, he is now turning his focus to offshore racing, with a strong desire to contribute to the development of ocean racing in Switzerland.
His profile, enhanced by a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, is a valuable asset in meeting the technical demands of IMOCA. He will take part in the second leg of The Ocean Race Europe, the longest, from Portsmouth to Cartagena, starting on August 17.
