Lucie De Gennes is a young French sailor specializing in competitive sailing, particularly in the mixed 470 class, and is a member of the Yacht Club de Cannes.
Lucie discovered sailing at the age of 12 on Lake Geneva in a Laser before quickly turning to competitive racing.
Since 2018, she has formed a promising duo with Matisse Pacaud. Together, they have won three junior 470 world championship titles, doubled their youth world titles, and finished 4th at the 2022 senior world championship, earning the “Young Sailors of the Year” award.
In 2025, their progress continues with a bronze medal at the European Championship in Split and a 6th place at the World Championship in Gdynia.
She is now aiming for the highest levels of Olympic competition. Notably, she served as a training partner for the duo Camille Lecointre and Jérémie Mion in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In 2025, she took part in the Swiss Offshore Team selections for The Ocean Race Europe alongside Alan Roura. Selected with around ten other skippers, she joined the Team Amaala crew. Alan Roura chose several sailors to allow rotation within his crew throughout the different legs of the race.
