Profile

Originally from the Bay of Islands in New Zealand, Rebecca developed a passion for sailing at an early age, accompanying her father on keel boats.

She quickly embarked on numerous sailing adventures, including a double-handed race around New Zealand’s North Island on a TP52.

After finishing school, she completed a comprehensive apprenticeship in rigging, working for over six years in the industry before moving to the UK, where she embraced new sailing opportunities.

She has taken part in several Caribbean 600s, launched a Fastnet campaign, and competed in numerous RORC races. Her impressive track record also includes two Sydney to Hobart races.

In 2024, she joined The Famous Project for a 100% female transatlantic crossing on the MOD70 Limosa.

In 2025, she became part of TEAM AMAALA alongside Alan Roura to compete in The Ocean Race Europe.
