Hugo is a French sailor and technician from Charente-Maritime. He began sailing at age six in La Tremblade through a school program and quickly became passionate about the sport. He competed in Optimist, 420, and 470, including Olympic campaigns for London 2012 and Rio 2016, though he didn’t race in the Games.
He then specialized in match racing before turning to offshore racing, participating in IRC regattas both in double-handed and crewed formats, and later in Class40.
Alongside sailing, Hugo graduated with a general engineering degree from INP Bordeaux in 2017. He contributed to the development of the Mini 6.50 No. 747 with foils, combining his technical skills and sailing experience.
Since 2021, Hugo has been working with IMOCA teams as an electronics engineer.
In 2025, he will participate in the final leg of The Ocean Race Europe aboard the IMOCA Allagrande Mapei.
