Technical stopover for L'Occitane en Provence

00:30AM : REPORTED DAMAGE
1 May 2024, on the fourth day of intense racing in The Transat CIC, just before 20h00 UTC during a calmer weather window, Clarisse Cremer (L'Occitane en Provence) undertook a routine check of the boat and has reported an issue with the J3 bulkhead to the Race Organisation. Clarisse is safe and uninjured and is working with her technical team to consider all options to stabilize the situation. She is currently 1000 nautical miles into the race.
01:30AM : TECHNICAL STOPOVER
Following consultation with the Transat CIC Race Organisers and her technical team, Clarisse Cremer has decided to divert to the Azores to further assess and repair the damage to the bulkhead . She is approximately 500 miles from the Azores and will be heading there in a conservative mode. Clarisse is safe. It is her intention to remain in this race.
