Breaking news: Transat Jacques Vabre
The famous Transat Jacques Vabre race (across the Atlantic) takes part once every 2 years and is to be ran in duo.
For my first participation ever, I am honored to welcome a famous great sailor as a co-skipper : Roland Jourdain !
We call him « Bilou » in the race world, and apart to be an impressive performer, he is also a great person !
Did you know that my project was hosted in his stable KAIROS for already one year ?
Bilou is also a nature defender and, with his organization « Explore » he works on various « bio-sourced » alternatives for boat construction. (Along with so many more missions)
I have so much to learn from him !
He has participated to 4 Vendee Globe, he won 2 Jacques Vabre and 2 Route du Rhum : one in 2010 onboard Freelance.com !!! Yes, my boat ! At that time it was called ‘Veolia’ ;)
I am so looking forward to start training with him but there is other races before (like the Rolex Fastnet) and also a race against the watch to get Freelance.com fixed on time !
See you at sea !

•••François Guiffant – a solo sailor waiting for his ticket to the Vendée Globe
One thing that can be said with certainty about François Guiffant is that he knows the IMOCA game and its boats as well as anyone.
