Cousin deals with rudder problem

Late Thursday Manuel Cousin noticed a major crack at the top of his port rudder. He immediately informed his team and Race Direction, that he was going to have to make repairs.
He has taken advantage of light wind conditions and worked all night to remove the rudder from its housing and carry out repairs. He should resume his race as soon as possible.
“The weather conditions over the past few days were quite severe. While checking the boat I noticed this crack. I was lucky to have had weather conditions that allowed me to repair it tonight. But I can see the positive side! I might have lost a few places, but I'm still in the race, and that's the most important thing to me."
