The Transat CIC: different options under consideration
The health crisis caused by the Coronavirus epidemic is currently forcing everyone to act accordingly and adapt.
The health crisis caused by the Coronavirus epidemic is currently forcing everyone to act accordingly and adapt. As a race organiser, OC Sport Pen Duick is obviously directly concerned. In this context, the entire team and the partners of The Transat CIC remain mobilized and at work to ensure that the event can take place, in compliance with the conditions necessary to stop the spread of the virus.
Given the changing situation in France and in the United States, The Transat CIC's arrival destination, all hypotheses are currently under review. Attentive to the very rapid evolution of the situation and the pace of announcements, OC Sport Pen Duick has decided to take the time necessary to make a decision. All the players in this historic event - sailors, communities, partners, institutions - will be consulted and kept informed of the proposed solutions.
The OC Sport Pen Duick teams and their service providers are mobilised for the event. The important thing for everyone is to ensure that no information is disseminated that is not concrete and reliable.
OC Sport Pen Duick would like to express its solidarity with all the people and companies affected by this unprecedented crisis and assures them of its full support.
Thank you for your understanding,
OC Sport Pen Duick
