Yesterday was the Annual General Meeting of the #IMOCA Class. This was an important moment for the association where members voted on different resolutions concerning the boats, the events and the general functioning of the association.

The day before, we all met at La Colloc d'En Face in Lorient, in order to share all the actions carried out by IMOCA over the past year. We spoke opening about the sporting, technical, sustainable, communication and events aspects of the Class. It was also an opportunity to discuss the future of the IMOCA.

Each year, the AGM also allows the renewal of half (four members) of the Board. Antoine Mermod was therefore re-elected to the Board as President of the IMOCA and thus begins his fourth mandate. Kevin Escoffier (skipper Holcim-PRB), Thomas Ruyant (skipper of For People) and Philippe Laot (Technical Director of V and B - MONBANA - Mayenne) were also elected to the Board. They will therefore accompany Antoine in his mission alongside the current members: Greg EVRARD (Team Manager of CORUM L'Épargne and General Secretary), Clarisse Crémer (sailor and Treasurer), Arnaud Boissières (skipper of La Mie Câline) and Boris Herrmann (skipper of TEAM MALIZIA).

Antoine Mermod, President of the IMOCA Class

"The IMOCA is an association made up of exceptional personalities who carry out exceptional projects. For our good cohesion, it is essential to meet at least once a year all together, with the freedom to exchange and listen, allowing us to refine the orientations and to weld around a common project. As every year, many ideas and points of view have been shared and this should allow us to prepare for our big event in the spring of 2024, when we will have to vote on the technical rules for the boats as well as our racing programme for the next four years. I am very happy to start this fourth mandate and especially to do it with this team of permanent staff, an efficient, sharp, modern team with a vision, which is reaching a real maturity. We are very proud to represent these skippers and we do it with passion and high standards."
