Denis Van Weynbergh crossed the finish line in thirtieth position at 7:35 am on Thursday, December 14th. The Belgian sailor will have completed the 3,500 theoretical miles of the race in the space of 13 days 14 hours 35 minutes 53 seconds, at an average speed of 10.71 knots.
Achieving another major challenge on his long amateur route to the Vendée Globe, the D'Ieteren Group skipper actually covered 4,134.01 miles at an average speed of 12.66 knots.
